Pics.io offers autokeywording functionality which uses computer vision to generate keywords for images you upload in Pics.io. Using automatic AI keywording saves your time on creating and inputting keywords manually.

Where can I access autokeywording function in Pics.io?

There are several ways you can assign keywords to your assets automatically.

  • If you haven’t created any keywords in Pics.io yet, you can find “Keywords” section in the left side panel of the screen.  After you press the “K” button, Pics.io will offer you two options: “Create new” and “Generate for all”. ”Generate for all” button launches autokeywording process for all the assets you have already uploaded to Pics.io.
  • You may also automatically assign keywords to one or multiple selected assets with the help of the "magic wand" button you can find on the Infopanel
  • You can also set autokeywording policy to auto-generate keywords for all the assets that you or any other member of your team upload to Pics.io. To do so, follow Settings->My Team->Policy route and tick the box next to “Autofill keywords for new files” setting. Read more about team policies here.

Please note, that it may take some time to generate keywords to multiple assets. If you see a yellow bullet next to the word "Keywords" on the Infopanel, it indicates that keywords parsing is in progress. A red bullet tells you that the parsing process has run into some mistake.

Is autokeywording function free in Pics.io?

Autokeywording is free for the first 1,000 images during the 30-day trial. After this period expires, you can continue using autokeywording functionality until you reach the limit of 1,000 images.

Further autokeywording comes within a billing plan and therefore requires money on your balance. To deposit money on your Pics.io account, follow “Settings->Billing->Overview” route and press “Buy” button on the right just above the plans selector. Once the balance on your account is positive, a fee will be charged automatically every time you utilize the autokeywording function. Learn more about billing plans here.
